Scattered Storms Will Bring Heavy Rain, Could Cause Flooding

A new round of thunderstorms will dampen the start of the weekend.

Some of the storms in the afternoon and evening on Saturday, Aug. 3 may produce heavy rain and localized flooding.

The day has started with a mix of sun and clouds. Saturday's high temperature will be in the low 80s with very high humidity of more than 90 percent making it feel a bit warmer.

Scattered showers and storms will move in after 2 p.m. Spotty storm activity will continue until around 8 p.m. Saturday.

Sunday, Aug. 4 will be the better half of the weekend with mostly sunny skies and a high in the mid 80s.

After a dry morning and afternoon, however, there will be a slight chance for more showers and storms in the early evening until about 10 p.m. Sunday.

Monday, Aug. 5 will be mostly sunny and pleasant with a high temperature around 80 degrees.
